Our Services
|
Patient
Education
|
|
Establishing and
maintaining a healthy mouth is a team effort. We believe that patients
must actively participate in their oral health care. We regularly spend
time educating our patients in both the treatment and the care of their
mouth.
|
|
Hygiene
|
|
Our Hygiene
department will assist you in all of the latest techniques in oral hygiene.
Our hygienists help our patients understand about their dental health and
dental disease through the use of radiographic (x-ray) and
intra-oral camera (fiber optic) imaging. Intra-oral camera imaging
allows the patient to see exactly what the dentist sees. This makes it
easier for the patient to understand the reasons for any recommended
treatment.

Invisalign
is an exciting treatment available to many adults, which allows for the
movement of teeth into a more ideal position without, traditional braces.
Invisalign treatment has helped thousands of adults achieve
the smile they have always wanted. We would gladly like to show you the

Cosmetic Dentistry
(Smile Designs)
|
|
We can improve
your smile! Bonding, veneers, porcelain crowns, tooth-colored fillings,
and tooth whitening are all part of Cosmetic Dentistry (sometimes
called Esthetic Dentistry). The advances that are occurring in this
area of dentistry are not only exciting for us, but the benefits are
exciting for our patients. Properly planned cosmetic procedures are
designed to blend in and enhance and thus appear
lifelike.

Prosthetic
Dentistry
Sadly, many patients have a debilitated
smile and declining oral health, when we first see them. Prosthetic
dentistry is that area of dentistry which allows even severely broken down
smiles to take advantage of esthetic dentistry. Dr. Black believes that
everyone has a winning smile which is waiting to come out. Through
procedures such as crowns, bridges, implants, precision attachment
partials, and custom designed dentures optimum oral health and a
winning smile can be achieved.

Gum Disease
|
|
For patients over the
age of 35 the greatest cause of tooth loss is gum disease or
periodontitis. This disease process is mostly silent and patients
often do not notice the effects until it's too late. Gum disease begins as
gingivitis and without intervention by the patient and/or the
dentist the disease will progress until the bone support of the teeth is
lost. Needlessly, infections and tooth loss will occur. Examination,
intervention, and treatment can stop the disease process and prevent
unnecessary tooth loss. |
|
Specialty Care
|
|
A general dentist
often has to be an "expert" in all areas of dentistry. However when a
specialist is needed for certain complex dental procedures, we will make a
referral to their office. When specialty care is needed, Dr. Black works
closely with some of the most highly-respected specialists in the area for
his patients.

Emergency Care
|
|
We care about
our patients and the problems they might be experiencing. Therefore, we
will do our best to respond to your emergency needs as promptly as
possible. We make every effort to see emergency needs the same day.
